Basso to Discovery

It’s official, Ivan Basso has signed with Discovery Channel. T-Mobile is pissed, but Johan Bruyneel doesn’t seem too put out. Basso says his new squad is going to let him try for the 2007 Giro-Tour double (which he got halfway through in 2006). We’ll just have to wait to see who his competition is for both, I suppose. Personally, I think he looks pretty good in the Disco kit, but I have to agree with this guy - I hope they put him on a bike that fits.
