When you’re planning to chase the Tour de France around, you have two choices - you can either plan in advance and book hotel rooms along the way, probably paying through the nose but ensuring there’s a pillow with your name on it in every town; or you can take your pillow with you.

There’s lots of camping along the Tour route, and many Europeans will drive their campervans and motorhomes from wherever they live to France. Anyone coming from an ocean away, however, doesn’t have that option. For them, there’s motorhome rentals. Just think - your bed and your wheels all rolled into one…
